Dénia — gateway to the Mediterranean
Harbour town at the foot of the Montgó, with 14 km of coastline, a medieval castle and a daily connection to Ibiza.

Why Dénia?
Harbour town, nature, gastronomy and a daily boat to Ibiza
Dénia is one of the most complete towns on the Costa Blanca Norte. The town has a strong identity of its own thanks to its maritime history, the imposing castle and culinary traditions that influence the entire Valencia region. Those who live here are between beach, mountain and sea — with Ibiza literally at their doorstep.
The property market in Dénia offers a varied range: from apartments with sea views close to the centre to villas at the foot of the Montgó with views across the entire bay. Dénia attracts both permanent residents and those looking for a second home in an area that has remained authentically Spanish.
Castillo de Dénia
Dénia's medieval castle stands tall above the city, offering spectacular 360° views over the coastline and the Montgó mountain. In summer it hosts open-air concerts and cultural events.
Les Marines — sandy beaches
South of the centre stretches kilometres of fine sandy beach. Les Marines is Dénia's most popular beach zone — peaceful, easily accessible and surrounded by low dunes with a promenade behind.
Les Rotes — coves
North of the centre lie the rocky coves of Les Rotes. Crystal-clear water, sheltered bays and unspoilt nature make this the most beautiful swimming area in Dénia — ideal for snorkelling and diving.
Ferry to Ibiza & Formentera
From Dénia's harbour, ferries depart daily to Ibiza and Formentera — reaching the Balearic Islands in under 2 hours. This makes Dénia uniquely attractive as a base for island-hopping in the western Mediterranean.
Montgó Natural Park
The Montgó mountain rises 753 metres above the coast and offers spectacular hiking trails with views over the sea and Dénia bay. The protected park is home to a rich Mediterranean flora and fauna.
Rice dishes & fresh seafood
Dénia is known as one of the gastronomic capitals of the Valencian Community. The local gambas al ajillo, arròs a banda and fresh lobster dishes are famous far beyond the region. More than one Michelin-starred restaurant in the area confirms its culinary reputation.
